Openness by default makes sense - what is the argument for keeping them pricate? Also, what is the current policy - what is open and what is not right now?
Sure, why not? I assume you're referring to city hall making the national top-5 list in the Canadian Association of Journalists' "Code of Silence" awards....
Transparency should be in vogue with everything regarding the spending of taxpayers dollars, except for sensitive personnel/staffing issues.
CAJ should have looked a few blocks over at Province House and their preoccupation with using "Special Warrants" for spending as opposed to the provincial budget. They can bury it in the gazette later on I guess.
Overall, in-camera sessions should be limited in almost every respect.
